The other day I went with my team in LA and wanted to get a real update to this question we all have once in a while – who makes the best fried chicken today, is it KFC or one of the other chains as  Popeyes, Church’s, Chick-fil-A, so, to give it the best we all skipped breakfast started the visits.

The other day I went with my team in LA and wanted to get a real update to this question we all have once in a while – who makes the best fried chicken today, is it KFC or one of the other chains as  Popeyes, Church’s, Chick-fil-A, so, to give it the best we all skipped breakfast started the visits.

First we stopped at KFC, a nice place as most of us know and we ordered all the main fried chicken, all the best sellers available at KFC, and just water. We all made sure we only drink water to really feel how KFC fried chicken tastes like.  We had a good meal and a good time but the fried chicken at KFC, to be very clear, was a little too dry. So, KFC may be a good choice if you have no better alternative.

Next, we went to Church’s, ordered all main products and some water. Really impressed by the juicy meat and the flavor the batter had! Well balanced so definitely recommended!

Chick-fil-A fried chicken was nice, tasty but very little meat on the bone. The service was however very friendly so if you are not really hungry it can be acceptable.

Our last stop was Popeyes, to make sure we have information on at least 4 chains selling fried chicken, as well as the other products we all know. The meat was juicy and the quantity reasonable. However the batter had too much in it. We’re just guessing, but we think they put a lot of spices, as it really has a stronger flavor. So if you like a strong flavor, Popeyes is a good choice.

Based on the 4 visits, our team number one recommendation is Church’s, then Popeyes, followed by KFC, with Chick-fil-A as number 4.
